Kundapur, Jan 7: "Both the BJP and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) have been running a conspiracy aimed at overcoming those who fight for the conservation of Indian Constitution in a planned manner. The protesters have been threatened with bullets. In the coming days, this fight will acquire the magnitude of people's movement. If the government has plans to open fire at the protesters, I will be the first to offer my chest to face the first such bullet," said former convener of Bajrang Dal and social activist.

He was addressing a huge protest meeting against Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), National Register of Citizens (NRC) and National Population Register (NPR) held near Shastri Circle here on Monday, January 6 evening.

"We will browbeat attempts to divide the people of the country by implementing NRC. The citizens will not provide any documentary proof about their citizenship. No one from the country will be allowed to be sent anywhere else. The country is becoming scapegoat of a well-planned conspiracy. They have split the people of the country by organizing Hindu Samajotsava programmes. There is a need for the people to toe the line of people who have been working to conserve the secular system and culture of the country," he said.

On this occasion, the people took collective pledge to uphold the constitution authored by Dr B R Ambedkar and work for the protection of the constitution, unity and sovereignty of the country to defeat the conspiracy hatched by fascist communal forces by ignoring political, caste, tribe, language and other differences, and that they oppose anti-constitutional NRC CAA and NPR, and also that no documents would be provided to officials who will visit their homes, but they will behave with them politely, in the name of upholding unity, secularist and constitutional values of the country.

In his keynote address, columnist Shivasundar, blamed the government for creating a situation in which every citizen is being forced to stand in queue just to find a few illegal immigrants inside the country. He criticized the central government for not having a clear idea about the number of illegal immigrants in the country. "The economic system of the country was damaged through demonetization exercise. Because of this senseless and thoughtless decision, the country has faced downslide in the GDP and economic condition has gone to the dogs. With the implementation of CAA, harmony within the country is being sacrificed. Crores of people who have failed to keep their documents safe face tension because of these acts. The government does not have the capacity to spend crores of rupees to send people without documents to prison. The basic aim of this act is to snatch fundamental rights of the people and force them to live as second grade citizens. In the past, in various cases, people were given shelter without considering their caste, creed, or religion. Muslims are religious minority in the country. Our fight is to ensure that everyone who comes in because of religious persecution should be allowed to stay here. The act is against the secular credentials of the country," he claimed.

The inaugural address was delivered by the president of Anti-CAA and NRC Committee president, Shashdhar Hemmady. Activist Sudheer Kumar Maroli, social activist Mahendra Kumar, SYS general secretary DM M S M Abdul Rashid Sakhafi Zaini Camil, PFI state committee member A K Ashraf, DYFI state president Muneer Katiplla, Catholic Sabha regional president Eric Gonsalves, Dalit leader Sundar Master Udupi, honorary president of Action Committee Balakrishna Shetty, and general secretary Aseem Kundapur, were present.

Good job...... unfortunate is other political parties just enjoying the situation instead of participating in peaceful rallies. Peoples' right to protest whenever government implement something unacceptable.

People who support these bills should at least think at this moment is it necessary ??

According to confusing statement " Those who entered illegally are going to get citizenship except Muslim and Indian Muslim it doesn't effect " Only to find illegally entered Muslim so much effort while we have hell lot of issues like unemployment, no business, farmers issue, women safety, education major one GDP ?
