Mangaluru: Youth BJP leader Asghar threatened for supporting NRC, CAA

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (MS)

Mangaluru, Jan 9: BJP youth leader Mohammed Asghar, who had given a statement that there will not be any problem to Muslims due to the implementation of National Registry of Citizens (NRC) and Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) acts, has been issued a life-threat.

Mohammed Asghar is an active worker of BJP and had spoken in favour of NRC and CAA. A person called Asghar from overseas and threateningly said, "As a Muslim what you have spoken in not correct. BJP will not even allow you to stay in India. Even then, you have joined with BJP and are speaking against the Muslims.

“If you speak like this in the district of Dakshina Kannada you will not be alive. This is last warning for you,” the caller said.

Asghar has said that he is going to file a police complaint in this regard.

I am agaiNST CAA,NRC and NPR.
Though Mr asgar has right to support whatever he wants thats his right. And ppl should not threaten himfor that..Its a offence.
So it is condemnable whatever has happned. And ppl pls when will u learn violence is not key and abusing someone wont get results.

Though if this is not made up by cynical suuporters itself as a propaganda to create unrest and divide ppl and make them fight.. Amd if its true than thus shld b investigated and culprit needs to b punished.

That's your will and wish to stay where ever u want, doesn't apply to all. Why should one go out of country and settle in other country? This is a democratic country where the citizens have right to protest against any action which is against the constitution. Changes in constitution is a serious threat the current government is doing by their dictatorship behavior.

Dear Asghar ! your are on right side , illiterate people spread only hatred and communalism.

They get annoyed when someone talks about truth. Its known fact ,no Muslim can go or asked to leave because of CAA or NRC. We all are Indians first ,then comes religion and when the Govt have cleared told no Indians will have to leave.then why is unnecessary issue raised and riots done? We support you Asghar and God is with you ,we are proud of you ,Jai Hind !

I appreciate your concern, you said it correctly, @Dinesh
Now here is what BJP is doing for the people who speak against NRC or CAA. Kindly take your time & read,

    1. Calling ridiculous names for the people who oppose NRC & CAA such as Anti National, Urban Naxals, Tukde Tukde Gang, Puncture Wala, Pro Pakistan & many more...
    2. Celebrity opposed from taking left side & at the same time invited to speak about it for the right side.
    3. Sanctions on Palm oil from Malaysia just because the prime minister spoke against NRC, CAA & also Kashmir.
    5. Justifying wrong doing by some giving examples of some other wrong doings.
    4. Asking people to go to Pakistan & many more.

Kindly note it is not anti national/anti constitutional to oppose the government, We are a democracy, we are not ruled by a dictator where they expect everyone to accept their views.

Kindly note that we live in a democratic nation, where opinions are inevitable. Respect each others opinion. Asses the necessity, advantages and constitutional backing of the act like a rational human being. Do not blindly support or oppose the law like majority of the people, I neither expect everyone to support NRC/CAA nor oppose it.

But give me one reason why are you protesting against CAA, NRC.... What do you mean by dislikes against my name.... Even if your name would be Ram and if you you comment in such a manner... that is without giving any proper reason for fighting against CAA.. there would be dislike'
When there is no harm for people who are citizens of India.. why are people afraid.... It looks like there are any illegal immigrants in India without valid proof. Like any other country even we should have a policy like every citizen should hold a valid proof of address. Can we just allow each and every one enter and stay here.... Dont you know how many terror attacks have happened and how many illegal immigrants have entered from Bangladesh and Pakistan. Will they allow people from our country to enter theirs.... Why are you protesting..... We Indians also need a country to live peacefully... Those who are dead against this for no reason.. are free to move out

    Dear Mr Anwar,
Of course one can raise voice against law against one interest,
But when queestion of national interest come then one need to support any kind acts or laws,
Freedom of speech means not to talk rubbish against nation and its interest.
You have freedom speech means one can't talk nonsense.

    Replying to Anwar, Mangaluru

Using your numbering of points and in same sequence (5 before 4), kindly take time to understand.

    1. Very wrong to be abusive. While disagreeing there is no need for name calling. So I condemn whoever uses that type of language. Equally I condemn those who are using Hitler, Fascists, Nazi etc etc. for BJP leaders. I hope you do too but you did not mention hence the doubt.
    2. Both BJP n opposition parties are doing this. As long as decency is maintained it's OK.
    3. That's how it is. If a foreign country takes a position that can create trouble in our country, then it may be necessary for our country to make a point.
    5. Both BJP n Opposition parties do this. I wish they did not but this is politics. Let us non-politicians not do it.
    4. That's just wrong and stupid of whoever in BJP says it. It's not the govt saying. Some people across parties are speaking irresponsibly. That's why many say "dirty politics" and stay away.

Absolutely... those protesting or opposing govt have every right to do so. Without indulging in violence. No one can justify violence but some seem to be doing so.

Finally and most importantly we all should condemn the threat that Mohammed Asghar has received irrespective of whether we support CAA or not.

Nobody threatened any Hindu Congress leader for speaking against NRC, CAA
This is tolerance of Hindu community, extremists spreading wrong propaganda of exiling Muslims from India by BJP, nowhere any BJP leader or central government minister said of expelling Indian Muslims
If such thing happens in the future, we the Hindus of this country would stand with our Muslim brothers & sisters for their safeguard

Dear Anand, cowards and anti nationals coward their faces and attacked JNU students including females mercilessly. Few of their received serious injuries and all this happended in the presence of paid police. BJP is trying its best to put its agenda on public by force which will never be succeeded. Terrorists ABVP attacked unarmed students and ransacked the property and unfortunately UP Govt is also sitting with its eyes covered.
