Hassan: Church priest goes missing after obscene photos with lady go viral

Daijiworld Media Network - Hassan (SP)

Hassan, Jan 10: Distasteful photos of the priest of St Mary church at M Dasapura in Channarayanapatna taluk in the company of a lady have become viral in social websites. The priest has gone missing.

Varadaraju has been the priest of this church since the last four years. The lady seen in his company in the photos is said to be a staff of Christ Educational Institute at Tumakuru. It is said that both of them were in love since the last four years and the two families had discussed about their marriage. The lady was frustrated as Varadaraju did not take further initiative relating to marriage. Because of this, she is said to have shared the photos in social websites.

As soon as his love life came into the open, Varadaraju went missing a week back. No complaint about the said incident has been filed. Senior priests from Hassan arrived here and undertook fact checks. It is said that some villagers have solidly backed the priest, while many others are hell bent on not allowing him to enter the church again. On this issue, there had been a disturbance in the village two days back, and the senior religious leaders had called both sides and advised them to mend their ways.

M Dasapura has 130 houses out of which all except a Dalit family are Christians. Whatever the problem, people from the neighbouring village are barred from interfering the matters of this village as per the custom. Therefore, people from other villages are not showing any interest in the developments happening here, people living in the neighbourhood say.

Faith should not be taken for granted as if it is a certificate of accreditation. Faith always has the tendency to fluctuate up and down. A scholar can become a sinner instantaneously and the sinner can become a Scholar in due course of life.
But, generally, the followers of any given religion has the tendency to dilute the sin itself when the Scholars are involved in the sin; as if the the religion is governed by the Scholars.

For your information, there is no special guidelines/ rules/ dress code for any one who is a Maulvi. The Maulvi deserves the same punishment as any other man for any given sin.

Its not a sin, rather responsibility. If he wished to marry a girl he would get down from his responsibilities.. thats it. There are so many priests in all religion, who as per the customer should not marry but they will have secret families. Why should they do that.. its a insult to that post. No one are forcing them to follow o be in the position of a father or priest or whatever... they are also human beings, they can just leave what they are practicing and get into family life..

After spending hectic 9 years of studies in the seminary to get priesthood, whats the use. ? The tragedy is why Girls fall prey to such priests. Priests and nuns are also human beings is a different issue. Better to find out a solution about allowing the priests to marry eventhough it looks absurd.

Married priest is not the solution! If marriage is allowed we would then/probably be hearing about extra material affairs and divorce? There really is no end. Besides every priest knows he has to take the vow of celibacy and commitment to His church so support for married priest is really irrelevant and no solution...Just like every married couple commits to each other a priest commits to God and His church. It is a great office which is unfortunately being degraded by a few. Let us not be led astray as ultimately, this is the work of the devil to try and distract and divide the universal congregation away from God. Praying for our priests!

Some comments that read that -

(1)"why ladies go behind priests after knowing that they have dedicated their lives to serve god?"
    (2) "Even after knowing a priest is considered as holy, it's the responsibility of our people to see him in that respect"

    I say-
For (1)- If it is a sin, then both have sinned. In fact, as a priest, who has taken a oath; has sinned more by breaking the oath and maintaining the relationship for the last 4 years (as reported.). I dont know how anyone can use the word like "go behind" when it is a mutaul act of consent.

For (2)- How logical is it that you learn and praech something and adopt some rituals and then put someone else responsible when you fail to practice in real life the same things which you learned and preached.

being a roman catholic, I have even discussed this matter with some priests to convey the same to Bishop.

Most of them do not want to get married and lead a real celibate life. But some falter.

I would recommend the pope to give the option of either marrying or not marrying to the clergy.

Looking ahead, where the world will be looking more at science and evidence, this celibacy doctrine will be irrelevant. It will be good for the church too to have married laity as priests, considering that the sexual abuse by the priests has been rampant word-over.

Jesus on proposal of married priests...

    Message to John Leary

    Saturday, September 28, 2019:
    ...
Jesus said: “My people, you are aware of a coming synod at the Amazon in Brazil. It is possible that such a synod could cause a division in My Church between the schismatic church and My faithful remnant. At this synod they are proposing many heretical and schismatic things against My Church. If some propose changing My words of Consecration, I will not be Present at such a Mass. This will be an attack against My Eucharist. There are also proposals for married priests, and women deacons and women priests. If a schism results, this schismatic church will take over My churches, and you may have to come to My refuges for a proper Mass. When you see the Antichrist’s black eyes, you do not want to look at them, or he could hypnotize you to worship him. After the six weeks of conversion after the Warning, I want My faithful to get rid of your cell phones, your TVs, and your computers, and any other device connected to the internet, so you do not look at the Antichrist’s eyes. Put all of these devices out of your home so you are not connected to the internet. It will not be long after the six weeks are over, that you will see events lead up to the coming of the Antichrist into power. Have no fear because My angels will protect My faithful at My refuges. Trust in Me and I will provide for all of your needs and shields at My refuges.”

Jesus on why to pray for priests

    1/11/2019

    Message to Valentina Papagna, Sydney

    All Saints Day

During the Holy Mass, before the Consecration, I received a beautiful vision of Blessed Mother and our Lord Jesus.

In the vision, the walls and ceiling of the church disappeared, and I could see Heaven above with millions of Saints and our Blessed Mother and our Lord Jesus in the centre. Then just beneath Heaven, I could see the earthly church, the Mass that we are participating in united to Heaven. I could also see Purgatory, with the souls there waiting and yearning to be released to Heaven. Heaven, Earth, and Purgatory are all celebrating in unison.

Our Lord said, “See, that is why you have to proclaim My Holy Word and explain to them that I wish that they would all come to Me. I wish them to convert and come to know Me. Especially today, with so much paganism in the world, they need to hear My Holy Word.”

“I wish the world to come to Me so that they can also rejoice in My Heavenly Kingdom, which I desire so much for the world.”

“Pray always for Priests and Bishops, many of them need to be purified. They have to be retained longer in Purgatory because they disobeyed Me while they were alive on earth by not speaking the Truth.”

We need to pray for Holy Souls and for the conversion of sinners, which our Lord laments so much.

It is really a sin to spoiling the priest. those who are spoiling the life of a priest can not serve the God not even let others to serve.. mad people why are they going behind religious people. Is it because of they are lonely and easy to flert with them. If any one come to contact with religious person why don't lay people keep a distance from them and let them do their work insted fooling in the name of love, marriage.

If any priest or nun cannot live without sex then they can come out from the congregation and live a normal life before smoke spreads out!!

I wonder why ladies go behind priests after knowing that they are dedicated their lives to serve god? Why they go and involve in such activities as if there are no men outside the church compound to get married or to make friendship? First and foremost let's not forget, religious people also human beings....avoid odd time visits/frequent visits/unnecessary visits to the room......before loving this lady didn't know he is a priest? If she really loved, she wouldn't have made this news viral... Disgusting...

Lan.... Sir, I agree with you. In the meantime I would like to say, If it's true love, today this topic, wouldn't have been jumped from mouth to mouth... Even after knowing a priest is considered as holy, it's the responsibility of our people to see him in that respect... to keep away from him, to limit our talks to a certain extent. I am saying again they too are human being... There are chances for them to become victims. But if we keep at distance, such things can be avoided. If such behavior anyone experience from the priest, in the beginning itself can be brought to the notice of the elders and solve amicably... If I am wrong I am sorry Lan... Sir. This is what my opinion is!

Remember there is a quote in bible....A mob caught a women during adultery and brought her in front of Jesus...Jesus said fine ...stone her ...but let first stone should be thrown by a person who has not sinned...and all disappeared one by one...and Jesus told the women ...Go and don't sin AGAIN...

I think we should give second chance to everybody...including these two...

In a lighter note...if we start stoning people for adultery...I am afraid...there will be shortage of stones in the world for Road building !!!....

I do agree with you that love is blind. It would have been better if this priest left the priesthood and did whatever he wants to do with this woman.

If one can overcome the temptation, then it will be a real sacrifice. You cannot ask ladies to be away from priest, but priest must be so committed and dedicated. The world is tempting and difficult to make sacrifice.
Everyone cannot be saibaba and all cannot be St. Paul. We have accepted several scandals. Let's pray for our priest and grow spiritually. We are being lay people very good at pointing out at our priest and Bishop. Are we honest and trustworthy at our personal life? We don't want to examine ourselves because we are just good at pointing out someone else.

The one who is given more is more answerable...
The priest though human is ordained and well-versed in the biblical teaching...whereas the lady in question is not
    ...
How are we to find fault with the lady (though she too is to be held responsible)
As for me the priests though human should be able to draw the line while interacting with women...

    Dear Cynthia
The priest is more responsible before God and the Church than the lady, because, the lady is not trained for nearly ten years in the Seminary like the priest. Any lady can fall in love with a priest, but the priest should not take advantage of the same. Even if the lady takes initiative for love, if the priest sincerely cares for her, nothing of the above sort of incident, can take place.
