Dubai: Nellu's 'Bolpho' Coming to Bahrain, Dubai in November

Dubai, Oct 5:
'Asal Kalakar', the only professional Konkani drama troupe from Mangalore is all set to perform its latest Konkani play 'Bolpho' in Bahrain and Dubai on November 26 and 27, respectively.

Ater the sucees of its first three plays 'Bongo' 'Bonglo' and 'Bokro', Nellu Permannur (Neville Veigas) Konkani's young writer, director and actor presents his fourth play, 'Bolpho' which has already been successfully staged twice in Mangalore. 

"Bolpho is quite different from the earlier three plays staged by us and concentrates more on comic angle in the. Speciality of the play is that it is directed by Konkani theatre’s youngest director, Shawn Rodrigues, who will also act in the play, says Nellu Permannur.


The music director for songs in the drama is Vanil Veigas from Bangalore. The troupe includes some well known actors like comedian Alwyn Veigas, actor and director Felix D’Souza, Abraham, versatile talent Dimple Fernandes, Leena, Apoline, and Nellu himself. Satish Surathkal will provide the music throughout the drama.

Karavali Konkans headed by Ronald F D'Souza will host the show in Bahrain on November 26, 2009. More details on the show will be available in the coming days. 

Show in Dubai will be organised by Denzil Fernandes, an ace organiser who has loads of experience in organising Konkani, Kannada, Tulu, Hindi and other enterainment programms under the banner of his event management company 'Sound Line'. The show is organised at Al Nasr Leisureland Poolside on November 27. Tickets for the show will be available soon.
