Four Men Arrested for Rape in Delhi

New Delhi, Oct 8 (IANS) Four youngsters have been arrested here for raping a 20-year-old computer teacher in west Delhi, police said Wednesday.

Niranjan, 20, Dilip, 23, Rama, 20, and his brother Harish, 22, were arrested for kidnapping and raping the woman late Monday when she was returning home with her friend Satyaprakash, police said.

They intercepted the woman and her friend near Bhalla factory in Sultanpuri area, police said.

"We quesitoned Satyaprakash and gathered clues about the description of the accused. Two of the accused were arrested following a tip-off," said Deputy Commissioner of Police (West Delhi) Sharad Aggarwal.

He said on their questioning, Rama and Harish were also arrested.

Police said the four men late Monday went to a liquor shop where and had beer and snacks together.

"They saw the woman and her colleague going together. Taking advantage of darkness and the deserted stretch, one of the accused assaulted Satyaparkash and forced him to flee from the spot. The other three accused dragged the victim to an isolated place and two of them raped her," he said.

    The rigourous imprisonment will not help, they should be punished in front of the entire public and hanged till death, so whoever sees this should understand the severe consequences of such crime.     They should be severely punished so that some one else will not try to commit such crimes again. Parade them in public with chappel garlands with a tag as Rappist so that they will be ashamed of them selves.

    I fully agree with Mr. John and rather the rigorous punishment like nullify the sex capacities of them so that no one in future dare todo such acts.

    The four accused should pay Rs. 5 lakhs each as compensation to the Computer Teacher and should be get 10 years rigorous imprisonment each. This will teach a lesson to those who dare to do such acts. Some people don't bother about the consequences that will follow after committing a crime. Imagine the pain and humiliation of the parents who see their sons in jail as criminals. Shame on these boys for letter their parents down and also robbing the innocence of a young woman.
