'Control Population' slogans echoing in BJP meetings

By Navneet Mishra

New Delhi, Feb 4 (IANS): During the ongoing campaign for the Delhi Assembly elections, the BJP is facing a different kind of sloganeering in its rallies. The demand for the enactment of population control law is resonating in the rallies of the BJP. At some places, the party workers are raising this demand in front of the leaders, and at other places, it is the public that is raising their voice, thus making the BJP leaders say that this shows that the party's core voter now wants a population control law enacted.

At Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rally in the CBD Ground in Karkardooma on Monday, crowds shouted the slogans for 'population control'. During the rally, when Prime Minister Modi was mentioning the 30 works done by his government, which according to him have happened for the first time after Independence, the crowd standing behind the media gallery started shouting slogans in favour of the Population Control law.

The BJP leaders say that similar demand was also made in front of other leaders, who are involved in organising street corner meetings in Delhi. People say that population explosion is the root of all the problems in the country. When the government can remove Article 370, bring the CAA, then why can't it take bold steps like population control law, they ask.

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat has also advocated for the need of small family norm during his recent visit to Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh.

A petition by the BJP leader and Supreme Court lawyer Ashwani Upadhyay is pending in the Court, on which a reply has been sought from the government.

The BJP leaders have been mulling on the issue for sometime now.

In December last, several BJP leaders raised the issue during the party's national secretaries meeting on the Citizenship Amendment Bill at the residence of Home Minister Amit Shah.

Ever since the Citizenship Amendment Act was enacted, there has been discussion within the BJP that the next step of the Modi government would be the Uniform Civil Code and the Population Control Act.

It is believed that the way the issue is being raised in the party meetings, the government can take steps in this direction very soon.

I will give you one reason for implementing CCC.
We are a secular democratic nation. The basic rule is everyone is equal under the law. Hence a common civil code is necessary.

Now you came to the point. I quote : "You said we are secular and democratic nation. Everyone is equal under the law". I am happy to hear that from you.
So why did you call those protesting against CAA as illiterates when CAA provides nationality depending on the religion and not on the secular principles?. I hope you would answer.

    Shankar,
Do you know the difference between the Civil laws and Criminal laws. The civil law has provision to deal with the personal problems like family property disputes to be resolved according the religion of the parties involved in the dispute. It is their purely personal problem about how to share the property according to their religion. Why should others be bothered when the involved parties have no objection?
Do you like some other people coming to you to order you on your religious matters?

Who can give guarantee that the child will be caring enough that it will take care of parents in his last days of old age?
What if, when the parents have only 1 child? What is the guarantee that the child will be alive during father's old age?

So your sole purpose of having children is to take care during old age?

Ok going with your thinking what is the garauntee that having more children will solve your problem?

Give proper ethical education to your kids and they will never do incorrect things and that should be the way forward and not increasing the numbers!!!!!

Always think the crux of the problem and don't get carried over by superficial selfish thoughts

    Chandra,
Let me clarify that I was highlighting one of the drawbacks of population control in practical life. You took it for granted that vice versa is always true. I did not tell that.

Let us discuss the issue according to your suggestion of giving valuable education to the children. I prefer giving valuable education to more children than to just 1 child so that it will multiply the magnitude of educated people of our Country. Don't you like India being Superpower having no shortage and abundance of educated people?

Even though I don't support BJP, If population control has to be implemented at some point in time, which will be a good thing for India, then it is only the BJP that can do this. Congress would never do it due to minority appeasement.

There are countries which give incentives to parents having more children. Why?. Population is an asset when channeled properly into productivity. No country is poor to fail providing basic needs to its citizens.

    Jesus on population reduction

    Message to John Leary

    Tuesday, October 25, 2016:...
Jesus said: “My people, let Me say with certainty that Satan and the demons exist, and they are allowed to torment people in some cases, and they can even possess people who invite them. Hell with its flames does exist, and it is eternal. The souls who are in hell will be there for all eternity. Hell was originally intended for the bad angels, but a good number of souls are choosing to go there. You are seeing more occult groups and more black masses where they offer up bodies or body parts to Satan. You are also seeing a battle for souls. I am warning My faithful to wear your blessed sacramentals as a protection against demon attacks and any curses or spells. You could wear scapulars, rosaries, Benedictine crosses, blessed salt, holy water, and relics for your protection. There are some people who are inviting obsessions or possessions with cursed potions, Ouija boards, tarot cards, or occult meetings. So avoid opening any portals for the demons to enter. These demons can also gain entrance through your addictions. Do not let anything control you, and refuse to accept any chip in the body or mark of the beast for any reason. You are seeing evil leaders who worship Satan, and they carry out his evil orders. There is even a death culture run by the one world people who are intent on reducing the population. These are the people behind abortions, euthanasia, wars, viruses, vaccines, and even gay marriage. Satan has a counterfeit for everything that I promote as holy. Beware of evil things and demons, and call on Me to send you My angels when you are attacked by demons. Use your long form of the St. Michael prayer for protection, and for deliverance of afflicted souls.”

If all the married men run away from their wives over a 20 year period, India will have some breathing space.

If that does not sound like a workable idea, make a law that everyone waits until their girlfriend turns 40 to get married. That also might give the population explosion some respite.

BIMARU states need some immediate solution.

MY OPINIONS ON CAA & NRC,

Yes, to some extent CAA and NRC looks like draining our resources further, which we already in short of because of our burgeoning population, however in the meantime for us to call ourselves truly secular and equal in front of constitution and laws of the land, and to control the population and preserve our resources to the next generations, WE NEED UNIFORM CIVIL CODE AND POPULATION CONTROL bills very urgently to be passed by the parliament.

Let’s support these two bills irrespective of religion and political affiliations..

Once they are passed let’s sing “VANDE MATARAM...”, altogether.. 😊

Please bring Uniform Civil Code, Population control Law at the earliest. Problems facing the country is only due to population explosion which is directly the reason for unemployment, Water shortage, expensive living cost etc..etc.. Opposition parties never talk of this major issue instead they complain about unemployment every now & then as if they have given jobs to all prior to 2014. If the rulers who ruled this country for 70 years in the past had taken any effective step to curb population we would not have any problems in the country today.

Population is not at all a problem. A few of richest Indians have almost all the nation's wealth. Only problem is to manage that wealth wisely. This is not possible only because of corrupt practices by the nexus between politicians and these billionaires.

    Nawaz,

You posted the following comment - "Why do you think uniform civil code is the necessity of time?".

I posted the following comment - "Uniform Civil Code mandate to replace the personal laws based on scriptures and customs(which vary religion to religion, even supporting inhumane practices at times) of religious communities in India with common set of rules governing citizens".

Then you posted the following comment - "Indian laws already prohibits FORCING someone to follow any scripture based rules. So, what is the necessity of Uniform Civil code?"

Then I posted the following comment - "Please give me the Indian law Criminal Procedure Code, Section number so that I can enlighten myself".

Then you posted the following comment - "You were the one who had objection to something. And you are asking me for the reference? You just tell what exactly was your objection?".

Now you are saying - "Ok. You should be specific in your queries. I don't know the exact references. But it is well known that forcing someone to follow any religion is a Crime in India".

This confirms that you do not know what is Uniform Civil Code and objecting simply to its implementation.
