Bodies of 2 newborns found in Bengal


Kolkata, Feb 4 (IANS): The bodies of two newborns, a boy and a girl, were found lying near the Ganges in the 24 Parganas (South) district, West Bengal Police sources said on Tuesday.

The two babies were found unconscious by the locals near a brick kiln on the riverside road in Nadial on Monday.

They were rushed to the state run Seth Sukhlal Karnani Memorial Hospital (SSKM) hospital, where doctors pronounced them dead.

The bodies have been sent for post-mortem to ascertain the reasons for the death.
