Ministers hail formation of Tirtha Kshetra trust

New Delhi, Feb 5 (IANS): "Lord Ram has made Narendra Modi Prime Minister for building Ram temple," said Union Minister Giriraj Singh while reacting to the announcement made by the Prime Minister on the formation of a trust for building a grand Ram temple in Ayodhya.

Speaking to the media in Parliament on Wednesday, the minister said, "We, including PM Modi, believe in 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' (the world is one) and 'Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah' (peace and prosperity for all). That's why we have called for 5 acres of land for Sunni Waqf Board also. It will maintain social harmony in the country. Lord Ram has made Narendra Modi Prime Minister for building Ram Temple only. Modi hai to Mumkin hai."

Echoing similar views, Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal said the Prime Minister had followed what the Supreme Court said in its judgement. "The entire country, irrespective of caste, creed and religion, is rejoicing. He has followed the order of the Supreme Court by announcing the formation of Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra Trust," Pokhriyal told reporters in Parliament.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday announced in the Lok Sabha that the government has cleared a proposal for 'Shri Ramjanmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra Trust to take care of the construction of a grand Ram temple in Ayodhya and other related issues.
