Projects to improve J&K power scenario on: Raju


Srinagar, Feb 6 (IANS): Power Development Department Secretary M. Raju here on Thursday said several projects were on to boost power supply in Jammu and Kashmir.

Addressing delegations at a public grievance camp, Raju asked officials to stay in touch with people to resolve their grievances. The department was seeking to address shortcomings in the power sector in J&K.

Stating that several projects are being planned and upgraded under the Prime Minister Development Package, he said they would help resolve power issues in the Valley, especially during winter months.

Terming good governance and efficient administration vital for hassle-free public service delivery, Raju said the government was taking steps to achieve that.

Raju hailed officials for restoring the power supply across the Valley during recent spells of snowfall.
