125 community bunkers to be built in Kupwara, Baramullah


Srinagar, Feb 8 (IANS): Rs 25 crore has been sanctioned for construction of 125 community bunkers in the Kupwara and Baramulla border districts of J&K.

Rs 5 crore had already been sanctioned for construction of 20 community bunkers in the Bandipora district, said Baseer Ahmad Khan, Divisional Commissioner, here on Saturday.

The aim, according to him, is to protect human lives in the areas prone to cross-border shelling.
