'Couture of Art' event organised at Central Park Towers in Dubai

Media Release

Dubai, Feb 10: Accomplished artist and creative director Tanya Ashraf, the founder of UAE-based fashion brand ROXX Fashion and leading Dubai-based digital artist Petra Kaltenbach joined hands to create elegant and sophisticated designs at the ‘Couture of Art’, displayed at a live fashion show at Central Park Towers DIFC in Dubai, on February 8, 2020.

The designs combine vibrant colours and intricate details with elegant themes representing 'cupid, devotion, and the constant game of passion and love represented by arrows and pistols with hints of quirky elements on full-flowing fabrics,' to quote the creators. The core themes of the designs are 'Pomegranate' and 'Love.' Tanya has used elements from Petra’s designs, such as pomegranates, cupid, and love arrows, combining them with her touch to create high-end fashion pieces, printed on 100 per cent smooth silk. The final products reflect the brilliance of the two intercultural minds.

Tanya Ashraf is an Ajman based creative director and artist from India. Having started her career as a fashion model, she has experience in the art and fashion industry and fulfilled her dream of creating clothes which are like wearable pieces of art by starting her fashion brand called ROXX Fashion, in 2006.

Award-winning German artist Petra Kaltenbach carries out her passion in transforming themed art while living in Dubai. Previously owning an advertising agency allowed Petra to develop the skills to create designs using digital media and printing these on her painted artworks.

The newly created fashion line combining Petra’s digital designs with Tanya’s couture will also be on display at the Cube, P3 Level, from February 9-13.
