Maoists torch vehicles in Jharkhand


Ranchi, Feb 10 (IANS): Suspected Maoists have set ablaze three vehicles in Jharkhand's Latehar district on Monday, police said.

According to the police, five people carrying weapons reached the Tori coal siding situated under Chandawa railway station of Latehar district.

The criminals first fired in the air and later set ablaze the three vehicles parked there.

The denial of levy is said to be the reason of the incident.

In Tori railway siding, criminals and Maoists regularly raid the area and set vehicles on fire.
