Internet snapped in Kashmir on JKLF leader's death anniv

Srinagar, Feb 11 (IANS): Normal life was affected on Tuesday in Kashmir on the death anniversary of JKLF leader Maqbool Bhat. The authorities snapped 2G mobile and Internet services across Kashmir Valley and imposed mild curbs in parts of Srinagar.

The train service in Kashmir Valley has also been suspended due to apprehension of law and order.

Train services remained suspended for the longest period of time of almost 100 days due to revocation of Article 370 on August 5 last year, but subsequently the service was resumed on November 26, 2019.

Earlier on Sunday, the authorities had snapped 2G services on the death anniversary of parliament attack convict Afzal Guru who was hanged.
