Tuskers in trucks snack on sugarcane from passing vehicles


New Delhi, Feb 15 (IANS): A video of two tuskers savouring sugarcane from passing trucks has gone viral on the Internet and Twitterati are super amused.

The video was shared by an Indian Forest Service Officer Susanta Nanda, with the caption: "Delicious lunch break...Sugarcane is one of the favourite food of elephants. In captivity sugarcane is an integral part of the diet plan. To provide energy."

In the shared clip, two elephants riding different trucks gorged over bundles of sugarcane that were being carried by other vehicles.

As the post went viral, Twitterati flooded the social media with their reactions.

A user wrote: "Thank god they are yet not thinking of going off sugar, considering everyone's dieting these days."

Another wrote: "Elephants are the only being who look cute even though they've grown into huge normal size."

A post read, "Mobile canteen for elephants."
