Honour killing: Girl shot dead by cousin in UP

Meerut, Feb 16 (IANS): In a case of honour killing, a girl was shot dead by her cousin and uncle in Sardhana area here in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday, police said.

The class 11 student as shot dead for continuing a relationship against the family's wishes. The incident took place when the girl was in her uncle's house.

The police have detained five persons, including the cousin, uncle and also the lover of the girl.

The body has been sent for post mortem. Further details are awaited.

    Dear Flavin, how can yu expect nice and decent governess if the care take himself is decoit / fool / rubbish / goonda / illogic / uneducated. This is our shining india and you will find more people like this. Situatin in india is very uncertain. Govt is going to construct 15 ft height wall from airport to city to hide jhopdapattis on the way to show Trump that our nation is free of poors and b jp has uplifted people from zero level to 100. I think Trump is blind and he cant see anything. Gujrat Govt is very wise and it will be able to convince Trump that India is number one country and people are well to do. Gujrat Govt is spending crores of rupees to hide its reality on poor people instead of utilising same fund on lifting of poors. Its is so shameful. I am sure that this contract is awarded to some bjp sympathiser and supporter. Whichever condition be of the wall, it will be passed without any quality check and warrantee. May be within 6 months you will find nothing there.
