Vizag Port denies report of any tiger attack

Visakhapatnam, Feb 21 (IANS): Reports of an alleged tiger attack at Visakhapatnam Port sent netizens into a tizzy on Thursday but authorities denied that any such incident occurred.

"No such incident happened at Vizag Port," Krishna Bapi Raju, Law Officer at the Visakhapatnam Port Trust, told IANS.

The port official termed as fake the report circulated on social media along with the gory photographs of a man mauled by the tiger. It was posted that the big cat came out of a container and attacked the port crew, badly injuring a man.

It was not known where the pictures started circulating and if at all any such incident occurred.
