CRPF deployed in violence hit northeast Delhi


New Delhi, Feb 24 (IANS): Eight companies of the CRPF have been deployed in violence-hit areas of northeast Delhi, including Maujpur and Jaffrabad, following violent anti-CAA protests.

The move comes after a Delhi Police constable was killed in Maujpur and another person is also learnt to have been killed.

Arson and violence have hit the areas following clashes between pro- and anti-CAA groups.

Maujpur and neighbouring areas have seen violence on Monday amid reports of houses being burnt and petrol pump being set afire.
