Haryana issues advisory on law and order situation

Chandigarh, Feb 26 (IANS): Haryana Police on Wednesday said that it has issued an advisory on the law and order situation across the state, especially for the districts adjoining Delhi, in the wake of the violence that broke out in the national capital in the past three days.

Additional Director General of Police Navdeep Singh Virk said that an advisory has been issued to all the Commissioners of Police and Superintendents of Police in the districts.

The police have been asked to be extra vigilant and take all measures to prevent any occurrence of violence in their respective jurisdictions. Virk said senior police officers in the field have been asked to mobilise maximum force for preventive deployment for law and order duty.

Cautioning the people against sharing misleading information on social media platforms, Virk urged them not to fall in the trap of rumour mongers and extend their cooperation in maintaining peace in the society.

Virk also warned the anti-social elements that any attempt to vitiate law and order and to create violence would be strictly dealt with.
