3 CRPF men injured, weapons damaged after fire in J&K camp


Kupwara (Jammu and Kashmir), Mar 4 (IANS): Three Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) men were injured while several weapons got damaged after a fire broke out in an Army camp in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district on Tuesday evening, police said.

Senior Superintendent of Police, Kupwara, Shriram Ambarkar told IANS that one barrack inside the camp of the anti-insurgency force Rashtriya Rifles at Kalarose caught fire, but the blaze was brought under control immediately.

"Three CRPF men suffered injuries, two of those were minor injuries," he said.

The SSP said investigations are going on while the cause of fire isn't known so far.
