Srinagar, March 6 (IANS): Two civilians were killed in two separate terrorist attacks in Kashmir on Friday.
According to details, Shabir Ahmad Bhat of Tral in Pulwama district of south Kashmir was shot by suspected militants just outside his residence.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.
Police teams have rushed to the spot and launched a hunt to nab the assailants.
In the second incident, one civilian was killed and another injured in a grenade blast at Maharajganj in Srinagar this evening.
According to reports, Ghulam Nabi Hanger of Zaina Kadal in Srinagar received splinter injuries after militants hurled a hand grenade.
He was shifted to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. A second civilian identified as Muhammad Rafiq Shalla was injured in the attack.
Security forces have cordoned off the area and started investigation.
