Moradabad (UP), Mar 10 (IANS): A man has been arrested for allegedly raping a minor mentally challenged girl near Moradabad Airport in December last year.
According to the police, the accused has been identified as Satyawan and was arrested on Monday.
Superintendent of police (SP city) Amit Kumar Anand told reporters that since the girl was mentally challenged and could not provide any information about the accused, the police took the help of a child psychologist to gather more information." The girl, after the incident which took place on December 22, 2019, the girl was referred to a Meerut hospital for treatment.
Police said that the accused has a crime history of similar incidents and works as a labourer. He has confessed to the crime during interrogation.
