Sonia calls urgent meet after report of Scindia meeting PM

New Delhi, Mar 10 (IANS): After rebel Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence here on Tuesday, Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi has called an emergency meeting at her residence, 10 Janpath.

The Congress wanted a headcount of Madhya Pradesh MLA before making any political move, said sources.

The Congress president has called meeting of senior leaders to make first effort to save the Madhya Pradesh Government. The party MLAs, mainly supporters of Scindia, have been locked in Bengaluru.

While MPCC working president Ram niwas Rawat claimed that Scindia met Sonia Gandhi on Monday, in a late night development, 20 cabinet ministers of the Kamal Nath government handed over their resignations to the chief minister.

Scindia, along with Amit Shah met Prime Minister Modi at his residence here on Tuesday and is likely to join the BJP.

Congress has become a bankrupt party under the grand leadership of Madam Sonia Gandhi and Baba Rahul Gandhi. It has now reached to a point from where NO return is possible. If young and energetic leaders like Jyotiraditya Scindia are leaving the party then there is some serious problems with the party leadership and its organisation. Anyway congress loss will be always a gain for ruling BJP. Jai ho Congress...... !!

BJP Leadership decides collectively what to give and to whom. Definitely Scindia will not be put in the category of SM Krishna.

Francis, Sure,, In BJP its thru merit and performance. If you have seen , youngsters like Tejaswi Surya, and many others were given a chance to prove themselves. Even in Mangalore in the Corporation elections, 2 Bhaimas were given a chance. So there is proof.
