Riyadh, Mar 10: Amid the coronavirus outbreak, Saudi Arabia's embassy in UAE has announced that citizens who wish to return to the Kingdom can do so within 72 hours. As per a report in Al Arabiya, Saudi citizens can enter the Kingdom through the Dubai International Airport.
Citizens can also use the land border crossing Al Batha in Saudi Arabia near Al Ghweifat border. They have also been advised to contact the embassy in Abu Dhabi and the consulate in Dubai for assistance, the report added.
Another statement issued by Saudi Arabia's embassy in Bahrain stated that the citizens wanting to return to the Kingdom can do so within 72 hours. As of March 10, Saudi Arabia has reported 20 cases of coronavirus infections.
On Sunday, Saudi Arabia suspended travel to the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, Lebanon, Syria, South Korea, Egypt, Italy and Iraq. It then added Oman, France, Germany, Turkey and Spain on the travel ban list. The Kingdom confirmed it was also stopping all air and sea flights between the Kingdom and the mentioned countries under the travel ban.
A USD133,000 fine is placed on the people who do not disclose health information and travel details at entry.
