Mangaluru: ‘Positive coronavirus case not detected so far’ - DC

Mangaluru, Mar 10: Dakshina Kannada deputy commissioner in a press release has confirmed that no cases of coronavirus (COVID 19) are detected so far.

“On March 10th as many as 437 passengers who arrived at Mangaluru International Airport and 45 people from NMPT have been checked. Symptoms of COVID 19 have not been detected. From February 1 till today, as many as 25,351 passengers have been checked. Of these, 5,358 have undergone medical check-up. No positive case has been detected,” she said.

Mysuru regional joint director Pushpalatha has reviewed the arrangements done at Mangaluru International Airport. Passengers arriving from other countries who have fever, cough, cold, breathing problem and throat pain should call 104, 1077 or 0824 2442590 or contact the nearest health centre. The details of the person will be kept confidential. We urge public not to panic and take all kinds of preventive measures, she said.

    If central market, fish market and meat & chicken markets are not cleant and sanitized Mangalore might encounter with worse situation than Corona virus. All these places are really pathetic. MCC should do something about it immediately.

    The thermal gun test is just for "name sake" & cannot isolate any person with much amount of accuracy; so please don't be complacent!

    All the more there were reports that bird flue has again erupted in some poultries in Kerala!!

    Unmeritted positivity. It took 4 days for lab test on covid 19 patient to be confirmed. Even developed countries don't have enough testing kits! Forget about treatment!
