Govt ready to discuss Delhi riots in Lok Sabha

New Delhi, Mar 11 (IANS): The Centre is ready to discuss the Delhi violence in Parliament, provided the opposition allows the discussion, sources said on Wednesday, even as the Speaker was holding a meeting with regard to the suspension of the seven Congress MPs to break the House logjam.

As Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Parliament, sources said he was ready to discuss the issue of Delhi riots in the House.

The Lok Sabha was adjourned after the opposition uproar over the suspension of the seven Congress MPs. The opposition was demanding the revocation of their suspension.

The Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla was expected to attend the session and sources said that he may make an important statement on the 'withdrawal of suspension of the MPs to facilitate Business of the House and the most awaited debate on the Delhi violence'.

After laying of few papers, the debate in the Delhi riots is likely to begin.
