Another anti-CAA protester dies, 3rd in a month

Lucknow, Mar 12 (IANS): Another woman protester at the anti-CAA protest site at Clock Tower here, died on Wednesday night. She is the third women protester to have died during the protest which has been on since January 17.

According to reports, Shamsunnisa, 55, had been admitted to the hospital after she got drenched in the rains last Friday.

"She fell ill after getting drenched in the rains. The local administration had refused to let us put up tents at the site and all women were sitting in the open when the hailstorm lashed the state capital," said a co-protester.

Shamsunnisa was a widow and has six sons who work as daily wagers.
