Lok Sabha passes Appropriation Bill, 2020


New Delhi, March 16 (IANS): The Lok Sabha on Monday passed Appropriation Bill, 2020 to authorise payment and appropriation of certain sums from and out of the consolidated fund of India for services of the financial year 2020-21.

Minutes after Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman move the Bill for its passage, the lower house passed it by voice vote.

Soon after passing the Bill, Speaker Om Birla adjourned the House till Tuesday.
