10 Indonesians screened at Hyd hospital

Hyderabad, Mar 17 (IANS): Ten Indonesians who were on a visit to Karimnagar district of Telangana were shifted to a hospital in Hyderabad for screening them for COVID-19.

The group was brought to a government-run Gandhi Hospital after one of them showed suspected symptoms of coronavirus.

Officials said three others accompanying the group of Indonesians were also kept under observation.

The Health Department officials in Karimnagar became alert after learning about the presence of the Indonesians, who had arrived along with three Indians by train from Delhi. They were in the town to attend a religious programme and were staying at a mosque.

The group was taken to government-run hospital in the town and after one of them showed suspected symptoms like cough, cold and fever, they were all brought to Hyderabad and kept at Gandhi Hospital.

Telangana reported fourth COVID-19 positive case on Monday, third in as many days. While the first patient was discharged last week, three others were under treatment at Gandhi Hospital. Officials said they were waiting for test results of 22 persons with suspected symptoms.
