Gathering of over 50 persons restricted in Rajasthan


Jaipur, March 17 (IANS): Additional Chief Secretary Medical and Health Rohit Kumar Singh on Tuesday issued an order restricting the gathering of more than 50 persons at all public places of the state till March 31 to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

Singh said this prohibition has been imposed using the powers conferred in Section (2) of the Rajasthan Epidemic Diseases Act, 1957, to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

He said till March 31, 2020, there will be a restriction on the gathering of more than 50 persons at all public places of the state like tourist places, museums, historical monuments, forts, parks, sports grounds, zoos, spas, sanctuaries, public areas, swimming pools, cultural and social places.
