AQI 'moderate' in Delhi, may improve by Friday


New Delhi, Mar 18 (IANS): The national capital on Wednesday witnessed 'moderate' air quality with AQI at 129, and SAFAR predicted further improvement by Friday.

According to the Centre-run System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting (SAFAR), marginal deterioration is forecasted for Thursday but in the 'moderate' category.

"Slight improvement in the AQI is expecting on Friday," the SAFAR said.

The minimum temperature on Wednesday was recorded at 16.5 degrees Celsius, normal for the season.

"The maximum temperature during the day is likely to hover around 29 degrees Celcius," the India Meteorological Department said, predicting clear sky during the day.
