Puttur: Coronavirus suspect conceals identity, flees from hospital

Daijiworld Media Network - Puttur (SP)

Puttur, Mar 19: In an incident which occurred on Wednesday March 18, a person from Kambalabettu, Vittal, who had recently arrived from Dubai, got admitted into a private hospital in the town. However, he concealed his actual name and other information at the hospital, which gave rise to confusion and apprehension.

The person concerned had reached home on March 7. On Tuesday night, he suffered from fever and got admitted into a private hospital here. He only informed the hospital staff that he was suffering from cold and fever. It is claimed that he did not inform them about the fact that he had returned from Dubai, neither did he provide his actual name and address.

The doctors developed suspicion about him on Wednesday morning and called his home. They came to know that he had returned from Dubai. This information was passed on to the assistant commissioner here, after which the hospital was advised to take the patient to the district hospital at Mangaluru. Tahsildar of Puttur Ramesh Babu, and taluk health officer Dr Ashok Rai, visited the hospital and held consultations. An ambulance was arranged to carry him to the district hospital.

However, the patient who completed the discharge formalities went missing from the hospital. The staff checked the CCTV footage and found that he was taken away by his family members. Even as the hospital tried to find out the whereabouts of the person, they got the information that the he was taken to Vittal hospital and then to Wenlock. He informed the hospital staff there that he had come from Puttur.

In the meanwhile, the people were worried as the rumour about a patient with coronavirus symptoms going missing spread. Assistant commissioner Dr Yatish Ulal, said that extra care is being undertaken in respect of the said person.

What a idiotic idea.Lies have short legs .One day or other it will comeout. He should think he is risking his own family to get infected and risk to him too.Remain calm, give yourselves to medical Personal.Take rest.Reduce risk to others also .Only then this we will be reducing this infection danger in our homes, country.Anyway his family should be given warrant of spreading infection.Otherwise they will never learn.Thinking others will not come to know.No wrong identity .It may come if he dies will not be handed over to own family.Never thought of this.?He too should be warned.

We Indians are the most irresponsible, selfish, people on Earth....They are educated, know the prevailing pandemic wave, sweeping across continents, yet deliberately flout basic regulations of quarantine, which is in place in our nation....

This is the only reason why healthy humans, are infused with this deadly strain of virus.....The state has enforced section 144 in most districts, yet they blatantly flout the laws with impunity !!! Shaeen Baug is a test case, where the lives of civilians are deliberately put at grave risk, for their political goals, they are a threat to our lives, No nation will ever tolerate this type of blackmail !!!! The government must act now, before death overwhelms and deciminates are country men !!!

There should be followup procedures from local panchayat or local groups. Airport authority should collect all details of Passengers and handover to concerned administration. People staying in flats can spread the virus to all building people cause they use Elavtors. So staying
In flats, be vegilent and if you see anybody traveled recently keep a watch on them. Use deinfectant to wipe common place like railings lift buttons etc.

This is going to become worst..?

I think hospital/nursing home staffs exposed to virus somehow...
Ordinary people please do not visit any hospitals for next few months.. better.
    Mess is already created..
I strongly believe that, UAE, qatar, soudhi Arabia etc reported very less numbers. And in reality they do have much more cases. Please close airports first for one month

forget about Arab countries our country is having more then them but they are not coming out, soon we will come to know India is the most effected country. Bahrain/Italy which is small country and they have
taken every type of precaution but still they have big number of cases, so do you think we don't have much cases? beside that our government is not taking proper measure to tackle them.
The best thing Modi should announce a big amount of money to people who are infected, automatically all the people who are infected will show up.

put him in jail for 5 years. they don't understand how serious is this issue. Developed countries like Spain Italy UK is unable to stop spreading of virus. what will be our situation if we fail to take precaution. Govt should find him and give strict punishment.
