2 new COVID-19 cases in Gurugram; total 4


Gurugram, March 19 (IANS): The number of COVID-19 infected patients is rising in Gurugram with two new positive cases emerging on Thursday. With this, a total of four infected patients have been confirmed by the health department.

Amit Khatri, District Magistrate of Gurugram said that all infected patients are admitted in isolation wards of Delhi's Safdarjung and RML hospitals.

One patient belongs to Gurugram's sector 9A, another is from Palam Vihar and two persons (husband and wife) are residents of Nirvana Country, sector 50.

"We have collected 2,250 blood samples of suspected patients and four of them were positive. We are waiting reports of other suspects," Khatri said.

Dr J.S. Punia, Gurugram CMO, said that blood samples of 34 suspected persons are awaited now. He said over 150 cases are coming daily.
