2 more persons test positive for COVID-19 in Srinagar


Srinagar, March 24 (IANS): Two more persons were found positive for COVID-19 in Srinagar on Tuesday who had travel history of outside J&K taking the total number of positive cases in Kashmir to three.

"Two more cases reported positive in Srinagar. One has confirmed travel history outside India while full details regarding the second being ascertained," J&K government spokesperson Rohit Kansal tweeted.

Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Shahid Iqbal Choudhary tweeted: "2 more positive cases. Teams are on ground as per SoP. We need to be more alert and cooperative."

On March 17, a woman from Khanyar in downtown Srinagar, who had a travel history of Saudi Arabia was tested positive for COVID-19 and is undergoing treatment at SKIMS Srinagar.
