912 under surveillance for coronavirus in Himachal

Shimla, Mar 24 (IANS): A total of 912 people have been kept under surveillance in the state and swab samples of 16 to test coronavirus have been taken in Himachal Pradesh, Additional Chief Secretary R.D. Dhiman said on Tuesday.

Five people have been reported negative, while the report of 11 is awaited, he said.

The state, which is under indefinite curfew, saw three coronavirus cases, including one death.

Urging the people to follow the curfew orders, Dhiman asked foreign returnees to provide their information to the district authorities.

In case of failure, he said, legal action would be initiated.
