Trinamool workers shave head to stay indoors during lockdown

Kolkata, Mar 25 (IANS): A group of Trinamool Congress workers in West Bengal's Malda district have shaved their heads together to resist the temptation of going outdoor during the ongoing lockdown to prevent the spread of Coronavirus infection.

The 45 Trinamool workers, including several panchayat functionaries, also took a pledge to stay at home in South Sahapur village under Ratua 1 block of Chanchol sub-division.

"It is our resolve to stat home till we regrow a thick tuft of hair," said Himmat Khan, deputy chief of Baharal gram panchayat.

They have also appealed to the villagers not to set foot outside their homes during the 21-day lockdown.
