2 more corona positive cases in Bhilwara, total 45 in Rajasthan


Jaipur, Mar 27 (IANS): Two new coronavirus positive cases were reported in Bhilwara on Friday morning, taking total cases in the business town to 21 and 45 in Rajasthan, health officials said.

These two new patients are close relatives of a persons who died of coronavirus on Thursday evening, said Rohit Kumar Singh, Additional Chief Secretary, Health, Rajasthan.

The deceased man, aged 60, passed away due to dysfunctional kidneys and other complications, Singh said.

In Bhilwara, 457 samples were collected, of which 432 came negative, 21 positive while the reports of four are awaited.

In Jhunjhunu, 202 samples were collected, of which six tested positive and 190 negative, with results of six still awaited, the officer said.

In Rajasthan capital Jaipur, 640 samples were collected, of which nine are positive, 590 negative while reports of 42 are awaited.

Jodhpur reported five corona positive cases out of 136 samples, 112 negative while reports of 19 are awaited.

Pali and Sikar reported one positive case each while Pratapgarh had two positive cases till Friday.

Till now, 2,325 samples have been tested in Rajasthan, with reports in 88 cases still awaited, he added.
