7 more test positive for Covid-19 in Kashmir


Srinagar, Mar 28 (IANS): In a spurt in Covid-19 positive cases in Kashmir on Saturday, seven more cases have surfaced in Srinagar, taking the tally of positive cases to in J&K to 25.

"It's tough to be a harbinger of unpleasant news. But being informed is being prepared. Seven more positive cases have surfaced in Srinagar today. Four of them have history of contact with already positive cases of religious congregation; other three have travel history outside J&K. Contacts are being traced," government spokesman Rohit Kansal said.

With this, the total number of positive cases in J&K has gone up to 25, out of whom 19 have been treated in Srinagar and six in Jammu city.

One Covid-19 patient has died so far while one has been cured.
