J&K Police donates two days' salary to COVID-19 relief fund


Jammu, Mar 28 (IANS): J&K Police on Saturday decided to contribute towards the national COVID-19 relief fund. An order issued by the UT's police headquarters said it has been decided that all gazetted ranks of police will contribute two days' salary and all non-gazetted ranks will contribute one day's salary towards the COVID-19 relief fund.

The decision by J&K Police came immediately after Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed for donations to meet the unprecedented challenge faced by the nation while fighting the scourge of coronavirus.
