Gurugram, March 29 (IANS): Five labourers were crushed to death by a speeding truck near Kundli Manesar Palwal expressway here, police said on Sunday.
Deepak Shaharan, DCP, Manesar said that the incident took place on Saturday late night, when the labourers were walking on the expressway and hit by the vehicle.
The official said that the truck was ladened with vegetables and the driver lost control of the vehicle due to high speed and mowed down the labouerers.
"We have arrested the errent driver and booked him under rash and negligence driving," Saharan said.
The injured persons were admitted to a local hospital and they are out of danger.
