MoHAP announces 240 new cases in UAE

Abu Dhabi, Apr 4: The MoHAP (Ministry of Health and Prevention) today announced that the total number of cases has mounted to 1,264 with 240 new cases.

The new cases were detected after scrutinizing people who came in contact with people who were previously tested positive and did not follow the safety guideline and social distancing.

The MoHAP assured stating, "A number of cases resulted from international travel. The newly diagnosed patients of various nationalities are in a stable condition and receiving the necessary medical care."


With 12 new cases recovered after taking necessary medical care the total number of recovered cases reached 108.

Nine casualties are reported with one death of a 51-year-old Asian patient who was suffering from chronic disease including kidney failure.

The Ministry has expressed his condolences to the bereaved family and wishes speedy recovery for all the patients.

The ministry and other health officials have urged the public to strictly adhere to the preventive measures that is provided to contain the disease.
