Fortis-Mohali designates separate Emergency for Covid-19 patients


Chandigarh, Apr 6 (IANS): In the wake of coronavirus pandemic, Fortis Hospital in Mohali on Monday announced that it has designated a separate Emergency wing for treating Covid-19 suspects and patients.

The isolation facility in the COVID wing will have the capacity to hold about 12 patients at a given point of time.

"The idea is to separate the Covid-19 patients from other Emergency patients in order to avoid the spread of infection amongst others," Amit Kumar Mandal, Director, Pulmonology, Fortis Hospital, said.
