3 Bangladeshi infiltrators arrested in Bengal


Kolkata, Apr 9 (IANS): Three Bangladeshi infiltrators, including one who posted a morphed photo of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on social media, were arrested in 24 Parganas (North) district, police said.

They were nabbed from Bagda close to the India-Bangladesh border. The owner of the house where they were staying has also been taken into custody.

Feroze Mian was arrested following a complaint that he had posted on the social media the distorted image of the prime minister. On enquiry it was found that he was a Bangladeshi infiltrator. Two other infiltrators who were staying with him were also nabbed after they failed to show any valid documents supporting their stay in India.

Ration dealer Krishna Samaddar was also arrested for allowing the infiltrators to stay as tenants.
