3 held for assaulting Delhi man, dubbing him corona positive


New Delhi, Apr 9 (IANS): Delhi Police have booked and arrested three persons on charge of assaulting a man on the pretext that he was coronavirus positive and connected to the Tablighi Jamaat.

The complainant is a resident of Harweli village in Bawana police station jurisdiction. The accused are Pramod, Prashant and Navin.

The accused even got the complainant admitted to the Lok Nayak Jaiprakash Narayan Hospital, where his test report was negative.

Police investigation found that the victim was not connected to Jammat and that he had been forcibly admitted in the hospital by the trio, following which the three were arrested.
