IYC turns its HQ into community kitchen to feed needy


New Delhi, Apr 10 (IANS): The Indian Youth Congress (IYC) in the national capital has turned its Raisina road headquarter space into a community kitchen to serve food to the stranded and homeless during the lockdown.

The youth wing of the party has also instlled an automatic chapati machine at the headquarter, which can prepare 1,000 chapatis in an hour.

IYC president Srinivas B.V. said : " We all must come forward and play our part in this fight against Covid-19 pandemic. The nation needs to remain together and strong, as we can only defeat this disease by being united. In pursuance of this one goal, the IYC has established community kitchen and food bank at its Raisina Road office. We are trying our level best to reach to thousands of people every day with fresh food and clean drinking water."
