Tumakuru: Birthday party during lockdown - BJP seeks explanation from MLA; followers booked

Daijiworld Media Network - Tumakuru (SP)

Tumakuru, Apr 12: BJP MLA representing Turuvekere constituency in the district, A S Jayaram, celebrated his birthday on April 10 this year in a grand fashion. He celebrated it in the presence of students of the government school at Idaguru village in the school ground in Gubbi taluk. The MLA had come under heavy criticism from various quarters for celebrating his birthday during the lockdown, and especially for not following social distancing. A video that was widely circulated in social media showed the MLA distributing biryani to the participants at the said function.

State BJP president, Nalin Kumar Kateel, said that immediately after he learnt through media reports about the grand celebration with the participation of a large number of people, he called Jayaram over the phone on the issue and asked him to submit a report on what had happened. He said that once he receives the report, a decision on taking disciplinary action against him would be considered.

In the meantime, in a suo moto action, a first information report (FIR) against the followers of Jayaram has been registered at C S Pura station. The followers named in the FIR are Idaguru Ravi, Rajeenahalli Vasant Kumar and Honne Gowda. It is said that police were present at the party.

Police inspector, Ramakrishnaiah, stated that notices seeking their responses have been served on C S Pura police sub-inspector, Nagaraju, a head constable, and a constable. He said that the responses received from the trio would be sent to the district superintendent of police for further action.

How can these MLAs hold birthday functions without inviting prominent leaders of the BJP ? Days into the state-wide lockdown, even MLC Mahantesh Kavatgimath had the presence of mind to invite CM Yeddy for his daughter's wedding festivities.

But here though many peole including children were gathered for birthday function no action has been taken then and there which shows disparity in dealing Birthday case. When they dont want to take immediate action they find a way how to delay the action and later can be skipped the action by concentrating on another issue. They wil create another issue so that people forget this. It looks like rules are made by BJP but not for BJP...God only save our country from these irresponsible leaders...

In today's Daiji news i read 17 people arrested for violating the lock down. Is there any separate rule for this MLA?? He is a leader and he should be an example to others. Please arrest him immediately to show that the law is equal to all .

FIR on followers & what about him ??. He should be kicked out of the party for his ignorance and putting lot of people’s life in danger. Poor people when they go out to buy groceries to feed their families are being beaten by cops, so what about him. He has committed a serious crime and a severe action must be taken on him, should be behind bars

Test assured, nothing is going to happen!n

BTW, 2 days ago the fraudsters of DHFL who are involved in the multicrore scams of PMC bank & Yes bank were caught when they were trying to go to their Mahabaleshwar farm house travelling from Lonavala with a special letter issued by a top IPS officer to let them go; total 23 of them in 5 cars! Imagine common people are suffering & these crooks who looted 1000s of crores of innocent people are enjoying life by virtue of Vitamin M! These guys are out on special bail!

Rules & regulations are only for the common man, rest everything is an eyewash!

Here goes the habit 1. Seek Explanation, 2. It is political Vendetta by opposition. 3. I never invited my followers. 4. I don't care for the law as I am the law and authority. This is the country for elected members who become arrogant and egoistic and behave like monkeys. The common man who earn their daily bread and butter suffer from the idiotic law and system. The PM says he is from the poor background who sold tea and slept on platforms today will not speak what steps he has taken to curtail this virus than give Press conference from PMO AC room and give a cruel Lockdown of just 4 hours.

He's not convicted . He's only pampered.... This is pure partiality.. when a poor vendor is selling vegetables to feed his family and benefits the society an FIR is filed against him.. when a priest offers mass with 6 inmates from his parish FIR is filed... When an MLA like shobakka blames the muslims no FIR is filed against her??? When a BJP MLA has a bday party and dressed up like a groom... And parties with biryani he has to provide an explanation...... Y this injustice??? Y weren't all the other people not asked for an FIR as well.... Hope the PM intervenes and puts him behind golden bars ... We need justice...

Lock down all over the world is just because of pandemic, what I surprised here that state BJP president asking explanation instead of arresting him. If a common man done any mistake or crime than it's called a crime and what BJP leaders are doing is okay and all? Bias party.
