Mangaluru: MP Nalin lauds PM Modi for prompt steps to tackle coronavirus pandemic

Mangaluru, Apr 12: Dakshina Kannada member of parliament, Nalin Kumar Kateel on Sunday April 12 profusely praised the central government for taking prompt and effective steps against the spread of coronavirus in the country.

He was speaking to media persons after inspecting the railway coach at the city central station here that has been transformed into an isolation ward for coronavirus patents.


Nalin noted that the proliferation of the virus has been regulated through prompt, efficient methods implemented all over the country at the behest of the Prime Minister. He said that the Prime Minister has shown to the world how such tasks are to be handled, and this has won him global recognition as a leader.

"Because of complete lockdown, coronavirus infection has been controlled in India. All the departments have worked excellently. We have created this isolation coarch as an addtional facility in our fight against COVID 19. Out of 32 isolation coaches being made in Palakkad division, 20 coaches are meant for the city," he narrated.

The railway coaches are being transformed as isolation wards with necessary medical equipment and other facilities to function as isolation wards based on necessity.

Kateel was accompanied by Mangalore (south) MLA, D Vedavyas Kamath.

    Railway coaches are made out of 99% metal substances . When they are stationary in particular place in summer temperatures reaches more than 35c . It’s impossible to humans to stay inside it. The idea tends to flop unless it is converted into AC.

    Its fine. A couple of days back, even Prakash Javadekar confessed of not believing what PM Modi has said when initiating the Janata curfew. Honesty should be appreciated.
