Indians disappointed as Modi announces no new task

Daijiworld Media Network - New Delhi (SD)

New Delhi, Apr 14: As the 21-day lockdown imposed by PM Narendra Modi came to an end on Tuesday April 14, the extension announced until May 3 came as no surprise for many Indians. However, what was most surprising was the talk was followed by no new tasks.

Since the coronavirus had gained rapid progress, PM Modi had been addressing the nation as he made several important announcements beginning with the 'Janata Curfew' observed on March 22, which followed a total lockdown since March 24.

The interesting thing noted in both the speeches made was the announcement of certain 'tasks' for the citizens from banging of utensils to the lighting of diyas or candles amid the lockdown for coronavirus. Citizens enthusiastically responded in fulfilling the tasks, some even violated the social distancing norms to fulfil the task.

However, the announcement made on Tuesday for extension of the lockdown left many citizens perplexed. While the announcement itself was riddled with a few confusing details about lockdown guidelines, many on social media could not help but lament the missing 'task'.

Many citizens took to social media platforms with memes asking the PM 'where is the next task' just minutes after Modi ended his speech.

In his address to the nation, PM Modi urged the citizens to continue following the guidelines of lockdown, extend helping hands to those in need, make use of homemade masks and asked the employers to be kind to their employees and to not lay them off.

PM Modi also warned that until April 20, the lockdown would be strict and stringent measures will be taken to ensure the same.

On Wednesday, a detailed plan for the lockdown is likely to be announced.

Most important task, stay home, stay safe. Its biggest task. However request government to provide state welfare like essentials roti, kapda, food, water, electricity. Rest all will relax. If Delhi government can provide these facilities free, wgy is it difficult for BJP ruled Karnataka to provide us. Arentvwr Indian citizens like felhites we are mangaloreans, most importantly we are indians living in same country. Same rules, same democracy. So why should there be differences between Delhi and Karnataka

    Great Title.
By the way guys, we can always show our appreciation to people in any form at any time. We don't need to wait for a particular person to request us to do a particular thing at a particular time.

Those who've committed their lives to help people during these tough times no matter how small help, have done a GREAT thing irrespective of their caste, gender, religion, politics, beliefs, ETC and we should respect that.

By the way, what is plate and spoon?? If you have hands, then you can clap. You still need hands to use those plates and spoons. Plates and spoons collectively can be called utensils. save me from bh--ths.
