UP district enforces 'No mask, No shopping' policy


Balrampur (Uttar Pradesh), Apr 14 (IANS): The district administration in UP's Balrampur has hit upon a new idea to make people wear masks while stepping out of their houses.

All shop keepers have been instructed to follow the 'no mask, no shopping' policy under which the shopkeepers will not sell any essential items to those who do not wear masks.

Balrampur's Superintendent of Police Dev Ranjan Varma said that all medical stores, grocery stores and petrol pumps have been directed not to sell items to those who do not wear masks.

The Balrampur police, on Tuesday, arrested 11 people who were seen without masks.
