8 more test positive; total 278 COVID-19 patients in J&K


Jammu, Apr 14 (IANS): Eight more people tested positive in J&K on Tuesday taking the number of COVID-19 patients to 278 in the union territory.

J&K government spokesman Rohit Kansal tweeted, "For now our luck seems to be holding!!! 8 new cases, 14 recoveries. New cases - 6 from Kashmir and 2 from Jammu Division. 14 recoveries, all from Kashmir. Total cases now 278".

Of those who have tested positive so far, 30 have recovered completely while four have died. The number of active cases in Jammu & Kashmir is 244. Of these, 46 are in the Jammu division and 198 are in the Kashmir division.
