29 fresh cases in Rajasthan; Jaipur continues to top chart


Jaipur, Apr 15 (IANS): Jaipur within last 12 hours witnessed 15 new cases out of 29 registered in the state on Wednesday which took the state capital's count to 468 out of 1034 corona positive cases in Rajasthan, said additional chief secretary Rohit Kumar Singh.

On Tuesday, Jaipur had registered 83 new cases, Singh added.

Meanwhile, seven new cases were registered in Jodhpur on Wednesday, which took the total number to 102 in the district, Singh said adding that Kota touched the figure of 64 with seven new cases reported here.

While Jaipur remains on top in the list, Jodhpur has emerged as another hotspot with 102 cases while Kota has 64 cases overall.

Tonk and Banswara have 59 cases each, Bikaner (34), Bhilwara (28), Bharatpur (20), Ajmer (5), Alwar (7), Churu (14), Dausa (11), Dholpur (1), Dungarpu *5), Jailsalmer (30), Jhunjhunu (32), Karauli (3), Pali and Sikar (2 each), Udaipur (4), Pratapgarh (2), Nagaur (6), Jhalawar (17), Barmer (1) and Hanumangarh (2), he said.

Overall, 11 deaths have been reported in Rajasthan so far out of which 5 are in Jaipur, two in Bhilwara, one each in Jodhpur, Alwar, Kota and Bikaner.
